SupportRocco

A dedicated website for supporting families with bowel and multi visceral bowel pre and post transplant.

The idea behind SupportRocco was inspired by a very special little boy, please take a look at Rocco’s story page to find out more about his life.

We have decided to set up supportrocco's charity as we know this is Rocco's legacy to help other families and children who currently have intestinal failure and have had or are waiting a bowel and multi visceral bowel transplant.

SupportRocco has been set up to support children and their families who have or are experiencing limiting or life threatening medical conditions.

We would like to raise awareness of services available to support families and we will do this by offering some families some financial assistance during difficult time (as the trustees shall determine) and we aim to raise awareness of services available to support families.

Some of the financial assistance you may apply for could include:

• food vouchers for families whose child has a bowel condition and or pre or post bowel transplant and pre or post multivisceral transplant who are experiencing a long term stay in hospital (5 days or more).
• essential hamper for families experiencing a long term stay in Rays of Sunshine Ward, Kings College Hospital (5 days or more).
• to provide a home cooked meal for families experiencing a long term stay in Rays of Sunshine Ward, Kings College Hospital, a Minimum of 3 times per year and raise awareness of services available to support these families during this cook and chat event.

We would like all families to have the benefits of having a one stop shop where they can gain information about services available to them which will help to:

• save time
• offer financial assistant
• make links with other families in similar situations and offer comfort during difficult times.
